THE VOTING!!

This is the First Annual Stabby Awards!

The Stabby Award is given in appreciation of efforts made in the world of EverQuest2.  Nominated ad voted on by You, the Gamer and will be proudly presented on the Jethal Silverwing Show on a date in the near future.  The categories were chosen by an elite panel of highly informed and drunken lunatics while buzzed out on Red Bull and Cappuccinos.

The awards, themselves, will be presented (if possible) to winner of each category, or the SOE developer who has the balls to take credit.

The Categories are:

  • The Players…
    • Best Role Play Tavern/Club
      • Publicly open RP clubs and taverns
      • Judged on Atmosphere, not design (would you go back and bring friends?)
    • Best Decorated Private Home
      • Most beautiful or imaginative player designed house
      • Judged on designed, and functionality (is it good.. but not cluttered?)
    • Best Designed Guild Hall
      • Most beautiful or imaginative Guild Hall
      • Judged on designed, and functionality (is it good.. but not cluttered?)
  • The Game…
    • Best Quest Ever
      • What’s the one quest that really made you say “wow, I wanna do that one again”
      • Judged on enjoyment.. not reward.
    • The Most “Wrong” NPC
      • Have you walked passed an NPC some time, hear them say something that was so outrageous, funny, or down right “Wrong” that it stuck in your mind?
    • Best Quest Reward
      • What’s the one quest that your alts can’t function without?
      • Judged on reward value compared to difficulty of quest.
    • Most bad-ass looking weapon
      • Holy Crap, I dont wanna get hit by that, I dont care if it’s level 1…
      • Judged on appearance, not stats.
    • Best Seasonal Event
      • Is it Frostfell? Brell Day? Bristlebane Day? Night of the Dead?

    best quest ever: heritage quest "in honor and service"

    The sequence of speaking with the mushroom king and collecting "shrool dust" so he can eat his own kind is creepy and hilarious. Its one of the only sequences I read when questing.

    Best Quest Ever: (I couldn't choose one!) The LOLcats Timeline in SF and The Swashbuckler Epic Timeline because of its clear references to The Princess Bride.

    Best Decorated House – Shale's Aerie Kolmas home on Splitpaw, with its Library/Study, huge forest courtyard with tradeskill pavilions, and the glorious gallery of Epic Weapons, Tradeskill Epics, and L&L/HQ rewards from across all of Norrath and much much more.

    Nominating three private houses — different concepts for each:

    Cheddarella's Halasian Hospitality — AB Glacial Villas (New Halas)

    Yvon's Treehouse — AB Glacial Villas (New Halas)

    Raclette's Berserker Haven — AB Jade Tiger Inn (2d floor, last door on right) (Freeport)

    Best RP Tavern — Psia's Hammer — AB Nettleville Inn — something about quaffing a nice cold milk in a kerra bar with amiable company — but if you like something, ah, stronger — try the Milk Plus….

    Best Holiday/Season — Frostfell already nominated, so I'll say Erollisi's Celebration, when everyone goes crazy offering flowers to strangers — love those candy hearts and love notes, too — plus the craft items are very nice….

    I haven't been in the game long enough to have nominations for "wrong" NPC, best quest, reward, most outrageous weapon, etc. — and my guild hall has already been nominated.

    Pity there's not an award category for which I could nominate the Guides. They really do put in a lot of time and effort in order to try to make the game even more enjoyable for us. :)

    Best guildhall hands down would be Legion of Kithicor's

    Best quest….would have to say The Order of Truth questline in Maj'dul. Something about it appeals to me. Maybe helping the Saccreen and in turn the poor of that city.

    The most wrong NPC in all of Norrath is Nathan Ironforge. I can still hear his ramblings in my head even though I avoid Qeynos harbor like the plague. "Ever seen a Gnoll before?" *winces screams and runs* or when you hail him he has a deep deep male voice.

    The best quest reward in the game would be the Manastone. Every character I have uses it alot and can't function without it. It may not give you much power, but if used everytime it is up in those long fights it helps alot.

    Most bad ass looking weapon? I would have to say the Shadowknight mythical. The glowing red sword and it's looks combines to scream EVIL!!!

    Best Seasonal event? Frostfell! yes Lera there are more of us out there that love it, maybe not as much as you, but still love the quests and instances and dual wielding candy canes!!!

    I vote for Truedee house in neriak 3 walk of the dead with the help of Jethal she broke out into neriak. Now she has broking into the castle in neriak and rebuilt each level in the last few days

    My favorite quests are the nights of the dead ones, the hedge maze and the somborn haunted house. They have replay value that i love going back to. Which i guess settles which my favorite holiday is too. :) The most wrong NPC IMO is no longer in game. It was the crazy lady in freeport who thought she was antonia bayle and was married to lucan. She complained about hiding cheese from lucan and tells you to go kill a bunch of ogres. Ass for weapons; i seen some of the scout epics and all those rotating blades scare the heck out of me. :P Tavern? The Spider all the way. :D
