Hiyas, Leoko Darkheart here! Boredom, yes… even I (probably one of the most energetic fae ever) get bored on occasion. With EQ2 I went for years without getting bored whilst playing, however now days when I do find myself in a rut (I like to branch out and do new things heh like play on the PVP server and verbally abuse… er, I’mean help Thearston) decorating and roleplaying usually absorb most of my time but on occasion you can see the little purple blur that is Leoko dungeon hopping.

From time to time I get tired of Leoko and try to power level one of my ten or eleven alts (though I do love playing my other 90, a warden) but that does have the problem of ‘the Golden Path’ which to be honest limits what most people have for options significantly so I go off to other games (usually fast paced,) and just keep going until I find myself back in Norrath.

This has been a partially in character / out of character message from Leoko!
    -chuckles- Have fun!

Well I still haven’t hit 90 on any of my 12 alts so I rarely get bored, I more just want to do something different every so often. I recently started playing on PVP server. I’ll sometime mentor down and go to older zones, or just join a random group. The random group thing, is normally fun if you get a group that doesn’t know what they’re doing, but too often I get people who do know what they are doing and want to rush in kill the named and get out.

Which make me become a little worried about dungeon finder. They have this in wow, and I’ll tell you most of the time it created a 15 minute Dungeon run. Little talking, just kill. The few time that people did talk it was to tell you that stuff wasn’t how it should be. Sorry I went kind of off topic. I guess that’s why I never get bored in EQ2, their is so much here to distract me.

I still have so much to do — Cheddarella is still only level 51 in adventuring (and not much higher in Smithing). Sigh.

I was going to be flippant and say, “Make another alt!” — which occupies me a little with learning a new class and maybe having a new house to decorate.

But what I really miss when I’m “bored” is interacting with people. Right now, my time is limited to late night hours, and darned few of those. I want to get back to doing some real roleplaying — be a part of some folks’ stories, if only in a minor way. And I’d like to group with people who can help me learn my role in a group and help me improve my skills and abilities (not to mention maybe getting in on some phat lewt).
